"Show Me Your Grit" - Ink & Oak Media exclusively at realSPACE

“So, you may have seen some of my vague posts or videos in the past few weeks teasing at what's next for Ink & Oak. Most of it has been darker than my usual work, and this was with great intent. October honors Mental Health Awareness, and as someone who is recently becoming more comfortable utilizing this voice, it appeared serendipitous for the stars to align with an unveiling. For the first time ever, I will be showing off some different work that, until now, has remained under lock and key. (Or in my case, shoved in my office drawer until I was convinced to put. it. out. there, lol.) So here we are.

Quick backstory, realSPACE reached out to me about putting on this exhibition and I was beyond stoked. Their goal is to highlight different Artists and Artisans local to The Region exclusively, and keep this a unique experience for their members. For this reason, this is offered for non-members for one night only. Come check it out while you can!

realSPACE will be providing wine, beer and light snacks while we hang out and can take an abstract journey through a different, less glamorized version of what really goes on inside of our heads. Vibes of all sizes. Playlist by me, songs that played in my head and in my earbuds while I cranked out some art. Sketches and Ink Work done by me, usually in early mornings while the world was quiet and still. Photography by me, abstract, colorful, and a perhaps a little macabre, but hey, that's the conversation right? Basically, a bunch of random that I hope at the very least can spark some discussion during an awesome October evening out.

We hope to see everyone there, and once again, thank you so much to realSPACE for hosting and for the idea in the first place. Please RSVP if you come, so we can get a headcount for bites and libations.”
